The b-roll that finally worked

Spent the morning swapping out a dozen generic stock shots of commuters for one 45-second handheld take of a woman waiting at a bus stop, rain on the lens, hand gripping the strap a little too tight. It's the kind of frame you'd normally cut before the edit even starts, but it held the whole scene together. Sometimes the thing you almost delete is the only thing that's honest.
