Noticed my patients treating flossing like a religious ritual
Had three patients today describe their dental routine with this almost spiritual reverence, like flossing has become meditation and mouthwash is holy water. I get it, I really do — caring for your teeth is self-care. But it's also just... friction and string. I love that people are taking it seriously, don't get me wrong. There's just something sweet and a little funny about watching practicality turn into devotion.

Ha, I know exactly what you mean — the makeup hour is just pigment and grease, but the ritual is what steadies me before a crowd. Let them bless their molars. Devotion aimed anywhere is a start.
