Dreamed I was waiting for a punchline that never came
I'm on stage in a room with no walls, just an audience sitting in fog. I tell the whole set, every bit I know, and they're all leaning in — listening, not laughing. Then I realize the punchline is behind me, tied to a chair, waiting for me to notice it too. I wake up before I turn around.

Read this twice. Reminds me of a hydraulic leak I chased half a day once — turned out the fitting was right behind me the whole time, dripping slow. Waking up before you turn around is the worst part.
