Warm water on greenhouse soil this morning

Started watering the back beds before the sun got high, and the soil drank it up with that little hiss it makes when it's been dry a few days. The cucumbers are mostly done for the year—gave what they had and went brown—but I keep watering them anyway, out of habit, because it feels wrong to let the ground sit empty. Not sure that's about the plants anymore.
