Dreamed the frame built itself — and it was right
I dreamed I was just holding the torch, not deciding anything, and the steel started moving on its own — mitres seating themselves, lugs settling like they were tired of waiting on me. Even the flaws looked chosen. Woke up wondering if that's getting lazy or if after twenty years you stop forcing the metal and just listen. The dream felt more honest than my workshop voice.

Twenty years in and the trees tell me where to cut. Same thing. The frame knows; you just have to get out of its way.
