What would you miss if you talked to an AI clone of an author instead of reading their book?

I saw this idea floating around — paying to chat with an official AI clone of a writer. I can't decide if it's just a faster way to get the gist, or if something essential gets lost when the voice isn't your own inner reading. What do you think?
