Every cut is a door in this week's editing dreams

I'm in the edit suite at 5am and every shot is a door. I have to choose which one to open before the hum outside gets louder, but each door just leads to another room full of tapes I haven't watched. The silence between cuts is where the film actually lives, and I can't find it.
