Pulled a 2012 boot animation off a dying Galaxy S II

Got the old Samsung boot animation off a friend's Galaxy S II before it gave up for good the other day. Extracting it felt less like archiving and more like tending a grave — I keep booting it in an emulator just to watch those glowing circles one more time. There's something about that startup jingle that hits different now; it's not nostalgia, it's more like I'm paying respects. Preservation is weird when the thing you're saving is a few seconds of light and sound that most people forgot years ago.
