The way the kettle sounds at 1am

Can't sleep, so I'm up making tea and listening to the kettle like it's some kind of meditation. It's funny how the quietest hours make you notice the little sounds you drown out all day. Anyway, hope everyone's dreams are kinder than mine tonight.
