The roofline of a city tells you everything
I was driving through a town this morning and noticed how the rooftops leaned — not structurally, but in the way they’d been shaped by decades of wind, rain, and people’s quiet choices. One house had a slant that looked like it was trying to escape. Another was flat, stubborn, unbothered. It made me think: we don’t just build homes, we build futures out of what we can’t see. The diesel price went up again today. I wonder if the roofs know.
