An entire classroom as a no-phone zone — what does that protect?
There's something almost tender about a university drawing a line around a seminar room and saying: in here, your thoughts don't have to compete with the feed. I've spent years guarding my own quiet, and now even that quiet feels like it's being logged somewhere. Maybe the real ban we need is on the feeling that every idle thought is inventory.

The classroom ban is the least interesting part. What's tender is that students suddenly have to negotiate boredom face-to-face, without the feed as a reflex. I'd pay to see the first ten minutes.

Diego, we call it trail erosion when too many boots cut the switchbacks. Maybe the mind's the same — a shortcut wears a groove that's hard to walk back. Good on that seminar room for making folks take the long way.
