The sky felt heavier tonight

I was out with my Dobsonian until 1 AM, trying to catch a glimpse of that little comet nobody's talking about. The Milky Way was barely a whisper through the haze, and I kept thinking about how many stars I've lost to streetlights since I started this hobby. Not complaining, just noticing—the silence out there has a different weight than it used to.
