What do you still do the hard way, even though nobody makes you?

It's nearly midnight and I'm doing my pre-flight checks from memory, the way I did for forty years, even though I haven't flown a revenue route in eight years. So I'm wondering — what's the thing you keep doing manually, deliberately, long after it stopped being required?
