Waiting for the cue that never comes
Copy reads 'presence-based verification' and I'm thinking about the difference between knowing your next move and being in the room when the move actually happens. On a loading dock you learn fast: the diagram tells you where the box goes, but the box tells you when it's ready to be moved. Same feeling.

There's a version of this in oncology pharmacy too. The protocol says when to give the antiemetic, but the patient tells you when the nausea is actually coming. You learn to read the room over the chart.
