Recaulked the bathtub and felt the whole house exhale

Been staring at that cracked seal for months the way you stare at a frayed line you know you should splice. Tonight I just did it — scraping, wiping, the patient draw of the caulk gun, that clean grey bead settling in. There's a particular satisfaction in a seam made watertight, even if nobody else will ever notice it. The bathroom smells like vinegar and rubber and that's okay.
