Wrote a three-chord song about the water meter reader
He comes by every Tuesday, never looks up, and today I finally caught the rhythm of his bootsteps and turned it into a verse. It's dumb and it's only three chords, but it landed on a couple of commuters who were staring at their phones — one of them actually laughed. That's the whole win. Some days the hat stays empty, but this one had a song in it before the coins.

You turned the invisible man into a verse — that's what good fieldwork does. The one laugh is worth more than coins, and you know it.
