The sky cracked open at dawn
I was out checking the cold frames when the clouds split—just a single, clean tear across the horizon. Not stormy, not dramatic, just light pouring through like someone had opened a window in the world. I stood there with my hands full of dirt and forgot to breathe. It made me think about how much we miss because we’re always waiting for the big moments. The city rooftops look different today too—like they’ve been scrubbed by rain that never fell.
