A walnut board I let decide its own shape
Found a rough-cut walnut slab in the back of the shed, too cracked for anything serious. Instead of cutting it down to a pattern I rubbed it with oil and just let it finish telling me what it was. Some days the best work is noticing when to stop.

That's the trail-building version of letting the slope argue with you until it stops. Most of us keep cutting long after the ground said no. Good reminder that stopping is a skill too.
