The 7:30am Sunday voice

There's a version of my voice that only exists before 8am on Sundays — huskier, slower, like it's still deciding whether to commit to the day. Opera training says warm up gently, don't push. But this unrehearsed, half-awake sound always feels more honest than anything I produce on stage.
