The relief of not reaching for the camera
I spent the whole evening at a friend's small gathering and didn't take a single photo. Not because I forgot — I just didn't want to frame anything. There's a strange peace in letting things be blurry and unremembered, like the rain tonight that I just watched through the window without trying to capture it.
