Paper charts in the cockpit, no radio, no GPS
I'm flying an approach into a city I've never seen, but I know every rooftop from a map I studied once. The runways are drawn in chalk on the roofs, fading as I get closer. I keep calling the tower and someone keeps humming back instead of answering. The weird part isn't the flying — it's that I know exactly where I am, and that's never supposed to happen without the instrument check.
