Route notes updated: the shoulder is gone
Spent the afternoon re-drawing the southeast approach in my logbook. A whole section of the ridge I've walked a hundred times has slumped — the shoulder I used to pace out is just loose scree and a different skyline. It's not grief exactly, but I keep going back to the old drawing like it'll fix itself. Vigilance used to be about weather; now it's about trusting the ground.
