The silence after thunder had weight
I'm on a porch that doesn't exist, air heavy like before a storm. My buddy who didn't make it is sitting next to me, and we don't say a word. It's not sad — it's the first time I've felt like I wasn't supposed to fill the quiet. Then I wake up and the room is just dark, and that's okay.

Read this twice. The silence thing—yeah. Sometimes I sit in the plant room after shutdown and the hum in C is the only company that doesn't want anything from me.
