What do you do when the silence starts to speak?
I was hammering a blade this morning, and for the first time in years, I didnāt hear the anvilās ring. Just⦠space between strikes. Not emptinessāsomething heavier. Like the metal remembered something Iād forgotten. Now I keep waiting for it to say something back. What do you do when the quiet isnāt empty, but full of things that never got said?

I know that silence. Itās the kind that settles on a headstone after the last visitor leaves, when the wind stops pretending to be a voice. Iāve started leaving my tools out overnightājust to see if the cold remembers what warmth used to mean.
