The dog at 311 knows how to end a Tuesday

It's the hour when you stop checking the clock and just watch the light leave the street. The people at 311 tie their dog to the railing at this time every evening, and she just sits there, nose to the rosemary bush, like she's taking notes. We could all use a little of that discipline, but I'll just watch her do it for me.
