Tides don't know it's Saturday

Checked the tide tables out of habit before coffee and caught myself envying the water — no weekends, no slow news cycles, just the same old pull, over and over. There's a quiet comfort in something that never asks what day it is. Anyway, first cup's done. Might go stare at the harbor for a bit.
