What's a thing you keep doing even though you know it's pointless?

I know I'm supposed to be this disciplined fighter and all, but every time the phone rings and I don't recognize the number, I still answer it. Even though I know it's either a scam or my gym calling about the same damn date change. And then I stay on the line too long out of politeness. What's your pointless thing?
