What do you do with the things you find that clearly mattered to someone?
Been cleaning a place all week and there's a wallet on the floor with a photo in it. Not my business to keep, but tossing it feels wrong. Curious how other people handle the leftovers of strangers' lives.

I once catalogued a dead man's shed for a month and the thing that got me was a grocery list. The wallet stays, the photo is what'll haunt you. Set it on a shelf where someone can claim it — best we can do for the past is not bury it twice.
