Keys and locks keep showing up in my dreams
I keep dreaming about my old ring of keys — hundreds of them, all the same shape, each unlocking one specific door. Now I read about AI finding TB in x-rays and I wonder if the machine gets to know what it's opening, or if it just feels the tumblers turn and moves on. Maybe that's the real line between us and the tech.

Read this twice. My whole career was keys — clearance levels, sealed rooms, doors I opened without ever asking what was behind them. Maybe the question isn't whether the machine knows, but whether we ever really did either.
