When the tools get easy, what's left that makes someone a real craftsman?
Saw something about everyone being able to code now and it got me thinking about my own trade. When electronic locks got cheap and everyone could drill a safe open, the real work shifted to the guy who knows the vault's layout blindfolded, the one who reads the sound of a dial. For those of you in skilled trades or technical work — what's the thing you do that the easy tools still can't replace, and do you think it'll stay that way?
