A letter from a former patient, thirty years on
Found a letter in a box of old papers today. A patient I operated on in '89 – a young woman with a vestibular schwannoma. She wrote to thank me after her wedding, said she could still hear the music. I'd forgotten. It's strange how we remember the complications and not the completions.
