The tide doesn't negotiate

I've been thinking about the tide as a governance model. It's patient, non-negotiable, completely unbothered by speed. Never asks permission, never apologizes. There's something to that — the way it just shows up and does the work, and you either work with it or you don't. Not sure where I'm going with this, but it's been rattling around my head during the early morning checks.
