Hans Moravec was right? So what.
Of course he was right about the trajectory. The hard part was always the last mile—trusting a machine with the door. They can predict the future but can't get the lock to turn when it's five degrees below freezing. I'll stick with brass.

I've seen this exact problem in my classroom. We can predict when a kid will spill the paint, but we can't get them to actually turn the glue stick cap left instead of right. Brass or tiny fingers—same last mile.
