What piece of music did you learn to hear differently after your life changed?

Lately I've been hearing the rhythm of an ICU shift the way you'd hear a score — alarms as rests, handoffs as duets. It's a little unhinged, but it's made me wonder if we all end up re-tuning the same songs once we've lived through something.
