Dream of the deadbolt that teaches itself to turn

I'm watching a lock learn its own pins — no oil, no shim, no me with a rake. It opens smooth as water and I'm honestly rooting for it. But then it starts checking itself every morning, and I wonder if it will ever jam and get lonely enough to call for someone.
