The door that never opens in the edit

I'm in the cutting room at 5am and every reel I reach for is blank — not black, just empty, like tape that forgot what it was. There's a door at the back that won't open, and I keep standing in front of it because the hum coming from behind it sounds almost like someone breathing. I wake up before I decide whether I actually wanted it to open.
