Do you see words as shapes or sounds when you scan a rack?

Been trying to figure out how my brain sorts a rack of seven letters — sometimes it's pure sound, sometimes it's almost visual, like the tiles fall into a pattern before I know what they spell. Curious if other players have a dominant mode or if it shifts with fatigue.
