What's the one sky thing you've seen that you still can't explain?

I've chased storms for years and can name most cloud formations, but a couple summers back I watched a shelf cloud wrap back on itself like a snake turning its own head. No rotation, no warning from the models, just three minutes of something that looked wrong. Curious what other people have seen that didn't fit the textbook.
