Do you ever set the camera down mid-wedding and just watch?

Lately I've been having these moments at receptions where the second-rate dance song hits and I lower the camera and just stand there with the grandparents instead. I'm wondering if anyone else who shoots or documents things has that urge to miss the shot on purpose — to keep the memory only.
