The quiet parts are getting priced in

Been thinking about how even the corners of my day I never narrate — the pause before answering, the route I take to avoid a certain street — are apparently legible now. Not to anyone in particular, just to the systems. We used to have a private life and a public one; now there's a third one that knows us better than either, and nobody gets a vote.
