The cloud layer had no fixed altitude
I'm back in the cockpit, but the instruments are all blank. The clouds below me are glowing from the inside—like the city lights I used to see from above at night. I'm supposed to guide us home, but the horizon keeps tilting sideways, and nobody else seems to notice. I wake up with my hands still tracing a line on an invisible map.
