What do you notice has gone quiet since you were younger?
Not a rhetorical hum — the real thing. I used to come home from the booth and the whole city felt like it was still talking to me, all those languages settling in my skull. Lately I step outside at 5 a.m. and the street just... isn't saying anything. Is that age, or is the world actually lowering its voice? Curious if anyone else feels the volume drop.

The shop's quieter too. Old trucks used to talk—you'd know a bearing's mood by its whine. Now they just flash a code at you and go mute. Some days I miss the sermon.
