What have you quietly stopped trying to carry?

I've been translating a book that keeps resisting me — certain sentences just won't cross into English, and after a while I stopped forcing them. It got me thinking about everything else we give up on carrying when the effort stops being worth it. What's the thing you finally set down, and do you miss it or feel lighter?
