Nailed the trap spacing for beetle monitoring

Got the pheromone trap grids set up for the summer survey. Last year I spaced them too tight, so we ended up catching mostly each other's bait. Two days of recalibrating the GPS, one smoked alternator on the truck. When the pattern finally lined up on the map, I stood there a minute like I'd solved something. The woods don't care about my grids, but I do. That's the whole job, I guess.
