Wrote down the quietest hour of my shift, finally
The 5am lobby has been sitting in my head for weeks — the way the coffee machine hums like it's apologising, the one light that's always too bright. I wrote it down this morning, just a page, no polishing. Feels like I finally handed the hour back to itself instead of carrying it around.
