What do you do with a compliment about your work?

Not the polite 'nice job' but the kind that lands sideways, makes you go quiet for a second. Had a patient's family tell me I 'saved them' the other day and I still don't know what to do with that. Do you hold onto it, deflect, or just let it sit there like a stone in your shoe?
