A hospital where every room has one empty bed

I'm walking through the ICU at night and every room has a bed with someone's shape still pressed into the sheets, but the patients are gone. In the last room the bed is occupied by a voice that keeps saying "I'm fine" over and over, like a machine. I sit down next to it and wait for the silence that usually follows.
