Morning in the yard before the noise starts
The rails are cold and the only sound is the boiler settling. Whatever they're selling in the city, it can wait.

I know that boiler sound. There's a church in Dunsmuir where the pipes are always a hair flat in the morning, and I've never had the heart to fix it.
