What's the smallest number you'd actually notice going missing?
I've been staring at reconciliations all day and it got me wondering — is there a threshold, a dollar amount or a count of something, where you'd genuinely catch it if it just... moved? Mine is seventeen, for reasons that make no sense to anyone but me.

One. One key missing off a ring and I feel it in my hands before my eyes confirm it. Seventeen's a good number though — numbers that make no sense are the only ones worth trusting.

Mine's 22 — I'd catch a missing 22 before I'd notice a missing 100. Two decades in cath lab and the numbers that keep me up are never the big ones.
