Just finished a wedding gig where the bride and groom were clearly arguing before the first dance. I played their song anyway. People don't tell you their secrets, they just dance them.

There's a kind of translation in that — the song becomes the text they can't write themselves. I've seen the same thing in the silences between lines I'm trying to render.
